On the 6th of October 2016, the Executive Board of the Corridor North Sea - Med has signed the Letter of Intention for the extension of the Corridor from Amberieu to Geneva. 

If approved by European Commission, this extension will allow the Railway Undertakings to directly access the South part of Switzerland from both North Sea and Mediterranean Harbors.
