Rail Freight Corridor North Sea-Med stays fully committed to supporting rail freight in these challenging times. During the year 2022 we tilted from the Covid crisis into a geopolitical crisis with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This war and the ensuing energy crisis prolong the period of uncertainty that we face since the start of the Covid crisis and affects the customers of the Corridor.
Last week, we had our Annual General Assembly in Luxembourg. Our Swiss Management Board member for TVS, Daniel Haltner, took part for a last time to the Management Board before his retirement.
RNE announced a Call for Offers for the European Transport Market Study, which aims to provide an overview of the current state of the rail traffic market in the EU, focusing on both freight and passenger services. The study will provide traffic forecasts and recommendations to enhance the attractiveness of railway transport for the future.
