On 6 October the RFC has visited the traffic control center and signal boxes of Thionville, Uckange and Longwy. The Corridor was accompanied by the operation manager (DUO) of the Lorraine Nord unit as well as the local manager (DPx) of Thionville and Uckange. This field tour was an opportunity not only to examine the border point procedures with Luxembourg and Belgium - which are in fact almost transparent for freight traffic - but also to understand the organization of production in this strategic part of the Corridor.
